This one splits your time between a hospital department, physician office settings, and a mobile gamma camera program that takes you across New York and Pennsylvania — where you work independently alongside physicians and nurses, set up your own system, and run the study start to finish.

What Your Week Looks Like

• Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine and nuclear cardiology procedures, including patient prep, radiopharmaceutical administration, and IV catheter insertion
• Acquire and process images using gamma cameras, PACS, and nuclear medicine management systems
• Run daily quality control on imaging equipment and troubleshoot technical and clinical issues as they come up
• Order, prepare, and calculate radiopharmaceutical doses using sterile technique
• Coordinate with referring offices and radiologists on therapy planning, confirm pre-testing and documentation, then administer therapeutic doses under full radiation safety protocol
• Travel to physician offices in NY and PA with the mobile gamma camera — transport, set up, and operate the system on site
• Care for patients across the full age range, neonates through geriatrics
• Participate in accreditation activities and maintain your CE credits and certifications

What We're Looking For

• Current NMTCB or ARRT certification in Nuclear Medicine — or eligibility for it
• Eligibility for New York State Nuclear Medicine Technologist licensure
• BLS certification (required within 90 days of hire)
• Valid driver's license and insurability, for the mobile program
• One year of experience preferred; motivated new graduates will be considered
• A formal 2- or 4-year degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology is preferred
